CRÉER POUR VIVRE 

Dés qu'il le peut, très jeune, Renaud Behar alias Treestyle s'intéresse aux mots, à l'écriture, il joue avec les structures, compose des poèmes sans compromis, sans règle, pour voir ses sentiments exister sur le papier. Vers treize ans il se passionne pour le film, l'esthétique du cadre et surtout le montage qui selon lui est la porte vers une créativité infinie. Il consacre alors les quinze années suivantes à l'écriture de scénario et à la mise en scène pour réaliser des courts et longs métrages. Mais raconter des histoires sans concession reste sa priorité,
alors le monde marchand et consensuel du cinéma aura raison de sa patience.

Il laisse Paris derrière lui et s'installe à Chamonix avec sa famille, happé par la majesté de la Montagne et de la Forêt. Quelques temps plus tard une cérémonie chamanique va agir comme un véritable interrupteur, dans le train qui le ramène dans les Alpes il dessine un premier arbre.
Le monde végétal était entré en lui. De nombreux changements personnels interviennent et les dessins se succèdent, se multiplient, tranchés entre ombre et lumière, l'encre noire imbibe le papier puis les murs.

Sa seule idée est maintenant de diffuser l'esprit de la forêt, de la nature; les arbres,
les branches, les feuilles, grandissent sur le terrain urbain et social.
D'un instinct impressionniste et non réaliste, Renaud poursuit son étude fascinante et illimitée
des arbres et végétaux, feuilles et branchages, car selon lui :
"le regard se perd quelque fois dans la complexité mais se retrouve toujours dans l'harmonie".

CREATE TO LIVE

From an early age, Renaud Behar took interest in playing with words, writing poetry without compromise free of rules to
see feelings manifest on paper. At around thirteen he passionate himself for movies, the aesthetics of framing and especially with editing where he sees an infinite doorway to creativity. For the next fifteen year he consecrate himself to writing,staging and realisation of both long and short films. 

But his goal being total freedom of expression in story making, the consensual and mercantile environment of the movie making scene will get the better part of his patience. He leaves Paris for Chamonix with his family, drawn to the majestic mountains and forests. Here, and further down the line a shamanic ceremony will, like a switch, turn him on to draw his first tree. An evergreen world had taken roots in him. While many lifestyle changes occurred the drawings multiplied splitting light and darkness,the ink imbues walls and paper alike.

His mono-focus is now to diffuse the spirit of the forest, of nature itself, through trees, branches, leafs that grows both on the urban and social terrain. Instinctively impressionistic rather than photorealistic, Renaud brings to his fascination for all plants limitless study and artworks, because according to him : “The gaze sometimes gets lost in complexity but always finds itself in greater harmony”
